Content Quake

Today Blogburst announced they would make it a little more enticing to be a member. If you dont know who Blogburst is, they are a syndication service that takes bloggers content and makes it available to what they term as “top tier” internet destinations. They are also a part of RSS brand name, Pluck. So far, Blogburst has charged the publishers that it gives bloggers content to, but has decided that bloggers are happy enough with some extra traffic instead of any cash. Until now.

The Burst Blog has the skinny for you, here are some excerpts I found most interesting.

With the BlogBurst Rewards Program in effect, top bloggers on the leaderboard can make thousands of dollars during the course of year. This program will continue to grow as the service achieves new levels of success now that we are out of beta status.

But, if you really want to get down to the nitty gritty with this, youll need to head over to the FAQ on the subject, which is right here. Another quote, this time from the FAQ regarding the new program.

We surveyed our members and discovered that 80% currently make less than $100 per month with their blog. In fact, 40% aren’t monetizing their blog in any way. So we wanted our Rewards Program to provide the opportunity to earn something you’d notice when the check shows up. By focusing on the highest performers, we’re able to offer bigger payouts — where the group on top of the leaderboard can earn over $1000 this quarter.

Should be interesting to see how this goes…
