Linkbait for Monday November 13th
Every Monday its fun for me to open up my RSS Reader of choice and find tons of fresh content from around the blogosphere. Here are a few articles that caught my attention today, and that Id recommend you read.
~Link Baiting Blog with Neil Patel of Pro Net Advertising. Neil gives some very helpful Digg tips and talks about Linkbaiting.
“I think link baiting is the most powerful SEO tactic right now. You can get links through other tactics such as reciprocal linking and purchasing text links, but link baiting is the quickest and most efficient way to get natural links coming into a website. And with all of the social sites growing at a rapid pace such as Digg, del.icio.us, Netscape and StumbleUpon I think we will see more people trying to leverage them for links.”
~Lots of buzz still going round about Review Me as well, here is a great post that links to many other bloggers and their articles and opinons on RM.
~Blogsmith, the blogging platform that all of Weblogs Inc uses, has been sold, to AOL. Brian Alvey, one of the founders of Blogsmith, provides some insight on this blog.
“So what is AOL going to do with Blogsmith? Whatever they want to do with it.”
~And finally, Micro Persuasion has a great post titled, “The Long Tail, The Long Term, and Your Blog” in which he discusses business blogs and analyzing your traffic to build your readership.
“Blogs are built to capitalize on the power of the Long Tail. First, you need to focus your blog on the segment of the conversation you care passionately about - and stick to it. If your blog gets 100 regular readers a day and it’s the “right” 100, then it’s a success.”
