Google seems to be in the business of ticking people off lately. Especially their publishers. I understand that there are business reasons for making certain actions. I totally understand that - you’re a business and you need to remain profitable. But there are ways to do things - even if they are unpopular actions.
Happy New Year everyone! It is now 2008 and Content Quake is about to go on another big hiring spree here in the new year. First off we want to fill some existing sites that are in need of some new blood. To see all of our openings you can visit our CURRENT OPENINGS page, but have a look at this as well…..
A quick note today to let you all in on a great resource over at SEO Book right now. And even better, it is totally free. Aaron Wall has just released The Blogger’s Guide to SEO and it has loads of valuable information for bloggers that are looking to attract more traffic from search engines. So be sure to head on over and bookmark this valuable resource right away.
If you follow Google pagerank and algorithm news, you will have noticed some big changes happening. For instance, giant sites like Engadget, the Washington Post, and Forbes have take big hits in terms of page rank (PR). That has some folks in a total uproar. But this is typical Google style. Once folks get used to the game, they change the rules. That’s what happens when you essentially own the market in that regard. But that’s not totally what I want to talk about.
In addition to all the new blogs that we need writers for here on Content Quake, we are also looking for fill some spots for Please do not apply if you do not have previous blogging experience. Thanks!
It is getting more and more crowded around here, and we don’t mind at all. Here are some new sites on the network that I want to highlight. In addition to what you see there, here are some new categories we are after. NFL Team Bloggers - We need passionate NFL fans that want to cover their teams. We will do our best to have a writer for each NFL team as the season gets closer and closer to starting….. City Bloggers - If you have a passion for the city you live in and want to cover it on a blog dedicated to your city, you might be a good fit for this new channel. We are looking for people that can talk about all the things going on in their home city like politics, sports, news and architecture. Outdoors - Are you an outdoor enthusiast? Do you love camping, fishing, hunting, etc.? CQ is doing some hunting of its own. We are looking for some passionate bloggers to write in these areas. Home & Garden - Do you love to bring artistic beauty inside and outside of your home? CQ is looking to bring on some writers who can spread this beauty to our readers. Apply with us for consideration. Business - Do you love business and/or finance? CQ is looking for some enthusiastic writers to share this love. Possible areas include: entrepreneurship, stocks, small business, startups, etc. Video Gaming - CQ wants some writers who have been up for 4 straight days playing their latest video game.
